Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using BuddyRig ("the app"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Use of the app
BuddyRig is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use by owners of RVs, motorhomes, campers, and converted vans. You agree not to:
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell our API responses.
- Post community tips that are defamatory, unlawful, or misleading.
- Use the app to stalk, harass, or track anyone without consent — including via the live-location share feature.
Your content
You own the content you post (checklist items, tips, trip notes, photos). By posting, you grant BuddyRig a limited license to display it inside the app and in trip-share links you generate. You can delete your content at any time.
Community tips
Tips are user-generated. BuddyRig doesn't verify them and isn't responsible for their accuracy. If you rely on a tip and it's wrong, that's on the tip's author, not us.
Third-party services & referrals
The app links out to Amazon, Harvest Hosts, Google Maps, and third-party facility websites. We are not responsible for the content, pricing, or terms of those sites. Some outbound links include our affiliate tag — Amazon pays us a small commission if you buy something. Prices you see on Amazon-linked items are for reference and may be up to 6 months old — the price you pay is set by Amazon at checkout.
Fuel & routing
Fuel-cost estimates use straight-line distance and either baseline or EIA weekly averages. They're a rough guide, not a commitment. Route deep-links open your device's map app; we don't guarantee the route is passable or legal for your rig.
Location sharing
You choose when to share your location. Share links expire after up to 72 hours (default 4 hours). Anyone with the link can see the pin; only share with people you trust.
No warranty
BuddyRig is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do our best, but the app might have bugs, and downtime happens. Don't rely on it for emergencies.
Limit of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuddyRig is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Termination
You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
